The Fire Dragon Comes to Vancouver

The Fire Dragon Festival and Noodlecious Festival will set the stage for a memorable weekend in Vancouver’s Chinatown, itself decorated with resplendence to welcome visitors old and new. A series of initiatives will form the first annual Fire Dragon Festival to celebrate and promote Chinatown’s cultural heritage, including the curation of several artistic dragons that will be displayed throughout Chinatown. This inaugural event will bring the Chinatown community together — past and present — through celebration, cultural activities and performances, culinary exploration and the appreciation of intangible heritage. Our vision is to establish a community tradition through partnership and collaboration that will strengthen awareness and education about Chinatown’s cultural legacy, and be practiced for years to come.

Not only will guests be able to view and visit the Fire Dragon, but there will also be dragon dancing workshops as well as a Fire Dragon dancing demo.
