Make a Ceramic Mooncake Incense Holder

This guided activity will allow participants to use their hands and work with clay directly, using professional tools to create a customized mooncake-shaped incense holder. The air-dry clay won't need any further work, but can be painted once dry (in 24 hours) for a personalized touch.

No prior experience working with clay is required and all materials will be provided free of charge.

Workshop Times (use the link below to reserve your spot):

  • 2:00pm – 3:00pm

  • 3:00pm – 4:00pm

  • 4:00pm – 5:00pm

About Ariel

Ariel (she/her) is a 1.5 gen Chinese immigrant settler on unceded Tseil-Wathuth lands. She is of Sichuanese and Tianjinese descent. She is a scientist, poet, tarot reader, and ceramics artist who is deeply inspired by her Chinese heritage. She has been involved as a volunteer in Chinatown since 2021, first with Yarrow Society and Since 2024 with Chinatown Together. Her interests outside of her artistic work include exploring ancestral spiritual practices, Qigong, and kung fu.
