Upcycle your t-shirt or tote bag & learn to embroider in this FREE beginner-friendly workshop with embroidery artist, Christa! Choose to embroider 1 of 3 designs inspired by Chinatown’s rich intangible cultural heritage. Bring your own item to embroider on, or create an iron-on patch using upcycled textiles.

Workshop Times:

  • 11:00am – 12:20pm

  • 12:30pm – 1:50pm

  • 2:00pm – 3:20pm

  • 3:30pm – 4:45pm

About Christa

Christa Yeung (@tenderpup) is an embroidery artist based in the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations creating whimsical illustrations with thread and felt. Her work is inspired by nature, friendship, and vibrant colours. When she isn’t making art, Christa also enjoys bird watching, karaoke, and yapping her friends’ ears off!
